After a month of June characterized by the easing of health restrictions, the month of July 2021 was marked by the ramp-up of Covid-19 vaccinations. The clampdown aimed at fighting the rapid spread of the Delta variant did not stop there. Border controls were tightened from July 12. At the same time, the COVID pass became compulsory in places of leisure and culture, followed by restaurants, large shopping centers or even long-distance transport, to name but a few examples.
In this context of a "general mobilization" to encourage vaccination, and despite sustained activity, road transportation prices fell by 0.5% in France in July compared to June, reveals our Upply database. However year-on-year prices rose 3.1% (+ 0.7% over 2 years).
