Road transport prices: light, finally, at the end of the tunnel?

February 18 2021

French road transport prices increased by 1.2% in January 2021, according to our Upply barometer. The steady increase in fuel prices seems to be the main reason for the increase but there are also clear indications that recovery is on the way.

Road transport prices in France showed a significant 1.2% increase in January 2021 over December 2020 in our Upply data base. Looking at the trend since last summer, there has been an upward movement which indicates a recovery in activity despite the many different ups and downs. The number of transactions registered on the Upply data base also increased 4.5% month-on-month.

This return to growth is offset, however, by the full year figures which show a 1.7% year-on-year reduction in transport prices.
